Meghan McCain lashed out at Kamala Harris for telling a story about her late father at a rally in Arizona and threatened to reveal the “real” things he said about the vice president.
The presidential candidate claimed that Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona praised her when they worked together on a Senate committee during a Republicans for Harris meeting in Scottsdale on Friday.
She said they “took each other to task” during a committee hearing, but he later praised her, Fox News reported.
“Later that day, I walked out on the floor of the Senate — we were having votes — and I walked past John McCain, and he looked at me and said, ‘Boy, come here. Great senator.’ True story,” Harris said.
However, the late senator’s daughter, Meghan McCain, 39, posted a message on X criticizing the vice president for mentioning her father’s name.

I know Democrats want to reinvent history and turn my father into whatever illusion you want, depending on the political moment you want to ruin his memory,” she said.
“But please don’t get me started on what I remember him REALLY saying about Kamala Harris.
“Consider this my final warning: I’m going to spill the tea.”
Early voting has begun in the crucial state of Arizona, and Harris’ campaign is trying to appeal to Republican voters.
In September, the late senator’s youngest son announced he would vote for Kamala Harris, while rebuking Donald Trump over his incident at Arlington National Cemetery.

“I feel like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz represent a group of people who are going to make this country better, who are going to move us forward. And that’s ultimately what matters: vote with your heart, vote how you feel going forward, and that’s how I feel,” Jimmy McCain, 36, told CNN.
He recently changed his party registration from Independent to Democratic. He has previously stayed out of politics and expressed his decision in personal terms.
