A college football fan caused a stir on social media Saturday with her over-the-top response to her Indiana Hoosiers team.
The Hoosiers hosted the Washington Huskies on Saturday and won 37-17. Before the game, ESPN’s College GameDay interviewed a female fan who was set to attend the game.
“We’re so excited,” she said. “We’re all freshmen, we’ve never seen them before. We’ve never been to college!
“And the team is so good, we’re so excited. We were here at 7 in the morning, I’ve never woken up this early. We’re here, we’re ready to fuck…”
When she accidentally cursed on live television, she held her hands over her face and stared back at the reporter, Samantha Johnson, in shock and embarrassment.

Reporter Samantha Johnson jumped in and joked that the fan was saying her team was “ready to fight”
Johnson put her hand on the girl’s arm and quickly jumped in to say, “We’re ready to fight, she said.”
The moment immediately caused fans to react on social media. “Her own reaction was priceless,” one said, while another wrote, “Let’s normalize bombs! Go Hoosiers!!!”
Others took a different tack from what the girl said, with one supporter writing, “I’m more bothered by the fact that she says she’s never gotten up at 7 in the morning…”
But the fan’s excitement was justified as she watched her team beat the Huskies 31-17 on Saturday, extending their undefeated start to the season to 8-0.
There are some big tests ahead, though. After next week’s game at Michigan State, they host Michigan and also play Ohio State in their penultimate game of the year.
But for now, now that they’re at the top of the B1G, they’re in position to make the playoffs — meaning there’s going to be a lot more excitement for the viral freshmen in the coming weeks.
