A federal large jury in New York hears new proof this week as part of the research into Sean “Diddy” combs.
Lawyer Ariel Mitchell told News on Wednesday that a male customer of her Thursday for a large jury in the southern district of New York testifies.
A source that is familiar with the major jury procedures confirmed that a man is expected to testify on Thursday.
The legal team of Combs did not immediately respond to a request for comments. A spokesperson for the office of the American lawyers refused to comment.
Combs is not guilty of accusations of racketeering, sex trade and transport to enter into prostitution. Assistant -Marican lawyer Emily Johnson said during a hearing this month that a replacement indictment could influence the length of his trial, which is expected to start on 5 May.
Combs is held in the metropolitan detention center of Brooklyn. His legal team tries to appeal against his detention, which has been refused twice by two separate judges.
While the criminal trial of Combs is popping up, he was struck by a wave of civil lawsuits. The lawyer Tony Buzbee, based in Texas, has submitted the most recent cases on Monday in the Supreme Court of the state of New York. The two separate lawsuits accuse combing of the sexual abuse of two boys, one who was 10 at the time and another who was 17. The claimants claim that the abuse took place in 2005 and 2008 respectively. Combs has denied the allegations.
In a statement this week, the Combs team said: “The lawyer behind this lawsuit is interested in media attention instead of the truth, as is clear from his constant press performances and 1-800 number.”
The explanation continued by saying: “As we have said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to any new publicity stunt, not even in response to claims that are ridiculous or demonstrably untrue. Mr Combs and his legal team have complete Trust in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process will prevail.
Combs is confronted with more than a dozen civil suits, but has only solved one, who submitted his ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura last year. In her suit, she accused combing years of physical and sexual abuse. Combs denied the allegations and pleasure with an unprecedented amount. A few months later, the security videos obtained by CNN showed that Ventura defeated in a hotel building in 2016 in 2016. In a video on his social media accounts, Combs apologized for the incident and said he had changed since then.
In their radical criminal charge, prosecutors revealed that the video of Ventura and her claims are part of their case against him.
