Carol Vorderman has given a major health update following a recent medical scare.
The presenter, 63, revealed last week that she had quit her LBC radio show after suffering a ‘burnout’ and spending a night in hospital.
The TV star admitted she had been overworking herself after working seven days straight for weeks and has decided to step back after being given her own show on the network last year.
And now, days after stepping back after taking the incident as a ‘warning’ to prioritise her health, Carol has revealed she is ‘fine’ but also said she knows she needs to take it easier for her health.
Speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, she told The Mirror: ‘I’m fine, I’ve had all the checks and everything but I can’t work seven days a week anymore so I’m going to focus a lot more on social media in the future rather than travelling to London all the time.’

The former Countdown star added: “I now turn my phone off for 12 hours a day. Like I’m physically disabled. Mostly at night.
“But it’s actually quite good, you know when you just have it by your bed and you reach out. Let me see… Ahh, two hours later.”
Carol informed her fans of her decision to quit her radio show on Friday, telling her Instagram followers: “Hi, I have some news to share with you.
“After working seven days a week for as long as I can remember, I finally suffered a burnout two weeks ago and ended up in hospital for a night.
“Thankfully, after lots of scans and checks, we know I have no underlying health issues.
‘So after a hearty chat with my family and friends, I took my health scare as a warning sign to slow down a bit and decided to limit my work to weekdays for the time being.’
Carol was left heartbroken as she stepped down from her role at LBC, continuing: ‘It pains me to do so, but I have decided not to continue with my Sunday show on @LBC.
‘I am sick of having to make this decision as the show has been so vibrant and a joy, with so many new callers from across the country and a growing audience.

‘I’m doing well, I’ve had all the checks and everything but I can’t work seven days a week anymore so I’m going to focus a lot more on social media in the future rather than travelling to London all the time.’
‘The good news is that I’m still part of the LBC family from time to time (it’s a good family) so stay tuned for more details.
‘In the meantime I’ll continue to cause trouble and also follow LBC.’
She thanked the LBC fans and team for their support, adding: ‘Thanks again for your extraordinary support and to all my new friends at LBC – you’ve been amazing.
‘I’ll continue to cause a lot of mischief and expose corruption and wrongdoing. That’s not over yet but for now it’s a slightly less hectic chapter. I love you.’

It comes after Carol revealed last month that she ‘doesn’t give a damn’ what people say about her appearance when she shared the secret to her age-related physique.
The former Countdown star is no stranger to showing off her stunning figure in sexy outfits and says it’s all down to a ‘good bra and sprouts’.
Speaking to Saga Magazine , Carol explained how she fasts intermittently and carries the raw veg in her handbag throughout the day as snacks.

She told the publication: “I wear a good bra and jeans that hold you up. I usually eat one meal a day, late afternoon.”
But Carol also admitted she’s ‘not happy’ with herself at the moment after missing months of gym sessions due to a knee injury and working on her new book What Now? On a mission to fix a broken Britain.
However, when it came to other people’s opinions of her appearance, she said: “I don’t care what people say about how I look.”
